Delight in meeting the members of the honeybee hive. We’ll talk about the queen, workers and drones, what they look like, their roles and jobs and how they work together to make that magical liquid we love to share…HONEY!

There will also be a hands on activity (bee free!) and a honey themed recipe to sample and try at home.

Weather permitting (for the bees), students will be able to observe the bees in an observational frame, specially designed for observing only, no direct contact with the bees will be attempted. We may walk near the actual hives, depending on the weather and bee conditions.
